duane + michele // wedding . rockingham nc

We recently had the opportunity to photograph yet another one of our former classmates' weddings - the [ second one this year ] so far! Duane went to college with us for photography & is now a [ wedding photographer ] himself, so we were very honored to be trusted with the photography of his & Michele's big day. :)

The first look:

Duane & Michele got married at Community Church in Rockingham where their good friend, Robby Stewart, officiated the ceremony. This wedding has been a long time coming, & you could tell Duane could hardly contain his excitement as Michele was coming down the aisle. Watching Duane's reaction, I just couldn't wipe the great big, goofy smile off of my face. :) I love these moments!

On our way to the reception, we took a little detour to the [ Leak Wall House ] in downtown Rockingham for a few portraits of the newlyweds.

These next two are so sweet - you can definitely see the love & adoration these two have for each other. :)

Love this huge tree! The "Cedar of Lebanon" was planted by John Wall Leak & his wife in 1850.

Duane & Michele made their grand entrance into the [ Cole Auditorium ] & went straight into a fun choreographed first dance to "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. So cute! :)

Duane & Michele - you guys are both such sweet, genuine people & we were glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of this special day in your lives. Thank you so much for everything! We wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

casey + micah // wedding . davidson nc

Casey & Micah have been married for 4 years, but with Micah overseas in the army, they were never able to have the "real" wedding that they had always dreamed of. We were so excited for the two of them to finally have the chance to have their dream wedding & are so glad they invited us to be a part of it!

Casey & Micah's first look:

We were so thrilled that Casey & Micah decided to do a first look. It gave us tons of time to take photos on the [ Davidson College ] campus, which is important part of their history together. Davidson is where the two of them first met & fell in love - Micah even popped the question at Davidson's historic well.

The ceremony took place at [ Lingle Chapel ], a smaller chapel that is part of [ Davidson College Presbyterian Church ]. Loved all the light from the huge windows!

There was great architecture to work with all over the campus - especially loved the front of the church with its huge columns.

Throughout the day, Casey's veil kept catching wind & standing straight up in the air for absurdly long periods of time - so funny! This veil had a mind of its own. :)

So glad we could catch some of these gorgeous pink trees while they were still in full bloom!

Casey made a beautiful bride (love this shot of her on the right)!

And Micah was looking pretty sharp too! :) I think his monogrammed shirt & striped tie were a nice touch.

The reception was at [ Charles Mack Citizen Center ] in downtown Mooresville. The lovely ladies at [ The Charmed Event ] kept the day running smoothly, while [ Best Impressions ] catering & [ Cake Expressions by Lisa ] kept everybody well fed.

Congratulations, Casey & Micah! We truly enjoyed getting to know the two of you & your families & are so glad we had the chance to photograph your big day! :)
