sarah beth + todd // wedding . banner elk nc

Sarah Beth & Todd's wedding was held in Banner Elk at the appropriately named [ Blueberry Villa ]. The bed & breakfast is built on a 20-acre blueberry farm, with a winery out back, & a vineyard & view out front that I was totally in love with.

The girls got ready at the Villa along with Sarah Beth's family.

I have a thing for chandeliers, if you can't tell from the last few posts. ;)

Tres joined the guys at their cabin down the road for some quality man time. Nothing like watching the game, chowing down on pizza, & some chewing tobacco to get you in the mood to get married!

Love this ring shot on one of the barrels at the winery.

Moments like these when Dad is walking his little girl down the aisle are always some of my favorites of the day.

Check out the gorgeous sky - can you believe we had been scared it was going to rain all day??

The reception was at the [ Banner Elk Winery ] just across the lawn from the Villa. You could tell this is a very close group of friends & family who really enjoy each others company. They sang & cheered & danced the night away!

cathy + chris // wedding . greensboro nc

Hope you're ready for a long post! ;)

Cathy & Chris' wedding was the first we have ever shot at [ Revolution Mill Studios ]. What an awesome place! It is an old mill that has been transformed into studio office space with personality (we were in love - if only we still lived in Greensboro, we'd SO be there!) & has a beautiful events center complete with original antique maple floors & pine columns.

The best thing about it is that everything is all in one place. Cathy was able to get her hair & makeup done at Envy Salon & Boutique right down the hall from the events center where both the wedding & reception were held.

[ Botanica ] of Greensboro put together the gorgeous florals.

One of Chris' old friends drove his antique car down for the big day.

We have been to a good number of weddings now & I can honestly say [ Sweet Basil's ] served some of the most amazing food I have ever had at a wedding - their pasta was to die for!

Julia Denton of [ Tie The Knot Weddings ] did a fabulous job designing & coordinating the event. I had to put together a collage to showcase all of the beautiful reception decor:

[ Cakes by Manfred ] did a wonderful job on the cake. It looked great & tasted even better!

It is always so much fun when the bride & groom go for the option of having a live band at the wedding. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great DJs around, but there is nothing like the life & energy a live band adds to a reception, in my opinion. [ Triple Lindy ] did an awesome job - go give them a listen!

Chris & his americana string band also played some songs during the reception & rocked it! Listen to [ Milltown ] on MySpace or check them out on their [ blog ].

Mel of [ Whitebox Weddings ] was there (as a guest for once!) along with her husband Tim who is also part of Milltown. Special thanks to Mel for hooking us up with Cathy & Chris!

We were so glad to be a part of Cathy & Chris' big day. Can't beat a beautiful wedding full of fantastic vendors & awesome people! :)

feature // collages website of the week . amber's bridal

We were very excited to have Amber's bridal shoot chosen as Collages.net's [ Website of the Week ] back in August. As I mentioned before: every week they review all of the online proofing sites uploaded across the country & choose one wedding & one portrait site to feature on their website, [ blog ] & newsletter.

You can view Amber's complete Collages.net proofing site [ here ] to see all of the photos & get an idea of what the online proofing site included with each of our photo shoots is all about.

Now that the wedding has come around, we can finally show off the photos from the shoot - one of our favorite bridals to date. So without further ado, check Amber out in all her laid-back, not-even-scared-to-get-her-dress-dirty awesomeness! :)

Love this series!
