rachel + stephen // wedding . burlington nc

We know Rachel from our college days (all three of us were in the commercial photography program), so were very excited to hear that she & Stephen were getting married & that they wanted us to photograph their wedding! It's always rewarding to be a part of such a special day for any of our clients, but even more so when it is someone you know on a personal level, as well. :)

Love that Rachel incorporated her grandmother's necklace & handkerchief into the wedding.

Rachel's mom putting on the finishing touches - love this sweet moment between mother & daughter.

Meanwhile, the guys work on figuring out how to appropriately fold their pocket squares. :)

Rachel & Stephen got married at [ Front Street United Methodist Church ] in Burlington. Loved the gorgeous natural light pouring in from the windows in the sanctuary - couldn't have asked for better light for photos.

Love these next few shots!

The new Mr. & Mrs. Walter:

There is nothing better than late afternoon light right as the sun hits the horizon - perfect.

Finally to [ Alamance Country Club ] to get the party started!

And finally, some images from the costume photobooth, which was a big hit - even Grandma hopped in the booth for a few shots! To view more of our favorite photos from Rachel & Stephen's photobooth, click [ here ].

(Rachel & Stephen's guests especially enjoyed the toy gun & afro, apparently. ;) )

Thank you again, guys!!!

cameron + pete // wedding . lexington nc

Cameron & Pete's wedding in Lexington was our first wedding of 2010, & what a great way to start off the year! Loved the location & loved this couple! These two are so down-to-earth & so much fun. :)

We started off the day with some fun portraits of Cameron & her bridesmaids at [ Childress Vineyards ] so we could take advantage of the wonderful scenery while there was still some daylight to work with.

Then we headed to [ Second Reformed United Church of Christ ] where everyone got ready.

As always, you've gotta love that big grin on the groom's face as he sees his bride for the first time. So sweet! :)

I wish we could have had an entire day to shoot at [ Childress Vineyards ]. What a fantastic location! They have beautiful grounds & so many fun places to shoot, like these barrel caves underground.

It was ridiculously cold outside, but Cameron & Pete were good sports & let us grab a few shots outside before they made their entrance into the reception.

The Childress winery is a gorgeous building with a great rustic feel to it & chandeliers & wooden beams all around. The banquet room was all decked out for the reception, & Cake Ladies provided the lovely cake.

First dance as husband & wife:

Love the relationships between Cameron, Pete, & their families. You can tell this group is very close.

Cameron even did a special dance with her brother - too cute!

And they're off!
