wendy + andy // wedding . boone nc

I don't think words can describe how much I loved Wendy & Andy's wedding this fall in the beautiful mountains of Boone. We got an early start & headed up to their mountain house before dawn, but the great morning light we had for portraits before the ceremony was amazing & well worth it!

Thought this canvas with pears that we found at the house was so fun & perfect for some detail shots. :)

When selecting vendors, Wendy & Andy took advantage of the abundance of great family-owned companies available in the Boone area such as [ Newland Florist ], who did an amazing job on the bouquets & floral arrangements.

Their intimate ceremony (with only 14 people in attendance!) was held on the terrace at [ Crestwood ] overlooking a perfect backdrop of fall foliage.

The ceremony was so sweet & full of happy tears all around.

Love the look of pure joy on their faces as they walked back down the aisle. It was one of the first really cold weekends of the fall & Andy was sweet enough to let Wendy borrow his jacket. :)

After the chilly ceremony everyone went inside to warm up with some hot coffee, then gathered around the table in [ the library ] for a great meal provided by the in-house catering service at [ The Table at Crestwood ].

Their cake was created by the talented people over at another small family-owned business in Boone called [ Stick Boy Bread Company ].

I think this is one of my favorite first dance photos to date. You can tell just how much Wendy & Andy truly enjoy each other.

Love their expressions during the toast too (click on the photos to see them full-size!).

Wendy & Andy - thanks again for inviting us to be a part of your beautiful day!

amber + casey // wedding . greensboro nc

Amber & Casey had their wedding at Amber's aunt's house in Greensboro & totally proved that a backyard wedding can be fabulous! It was a first for us, & I completely loved the intimate feel to it, as well as all the great natural light. There is nothing like an outdoor wedding! :)

The girls got ready at the house & then we went outside for some awesome portraits of Amber with some sweet sun flare. Is she not ridiculously photogenic??

The sky was amazing!!

Tres met up with Casey & the guys at the ultra-swank [ Proximity Hotel ] in downtown Greensboro where they were getting ready. Unfortunately for us, there was another wedding going on at the hotel so we weren't able to take advantage of the awesome lobby for portraits. :(

The ceremony was timed just right to take advantage of the beautiful late afternoon light. Did I mention I LOVE outdoor weddings?!

Casey will probably want to kill me for posting these, but his reaction to watching his bride coming down the aisle was absolutely one of the sweetest I've seen. Moments like these are why I love weddings. :)

P.S. - The next few are kind of hard to see clearly in the small version. Keep in mind that you can always click any of the photos on our blog to see them full size!

They had such fun, colorful decor at the reception & the caterers over at [ Apple Spice Junction ] put together a delicious dinner to kick off the evening.

Thank you guys for inviting us to be a part of your big day!
