In the time leading up to the big moment when Jenny would walk down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams, it seemed that things were going wrong at every turn. A couple weeks before the wedding they were notified they would not be able to have their wedding at their original venue due to extensive building damage from hurricane Irene which had hit the coast several weeks before - it just couldn't be fixed in time. They were lucky enough to have their venue changed to the [ Surf Club ] at the last minute, so would still be able to have their wedding on the beach as they had envisioned. The wedding day came with another storm on the horizon & they had to make the decision to move the ceremony to a more sheltered location - the wind was just too strong to set up the ceremony on the beach.
For many couples, these kinds of last-minute obstacles could have the potential to put a real damper on the day, but not for Jenny & Ryan. They took the news with unbelievable calmness & grace, never once letting things get them down or distracting them from the real reason they were there that day - to marry the love of their life. In the end, Jenny & Ryan had the most amazing day full of so much fun & love with the people they care about the most. When it's all said & done, I just don't think a wedding day can get more perfect than that!
You may recognize one of the bridesmaids, Christie, from [ her wedding a couple years ago in Wilmington ]. So glad she hooked us up with Jenny & Ryan! :)
Their sweet ceremony took place out under a tent on the deck & was jam-packed full of love & laughter.
There was still a gust of wind here & there, but we couldn't have asked the weather to cooperate with us better for photos on the beach after the ceremony. The sun was peeking out of the clouds just perfectly!
