Michelle & Brandon wanted a modern setting for their engagement photos, so we suggested the [ North Carolina Museum of Art ] as a potential location & I am so glad we did! It wound up being an awesome spot to take photos & even has a pet-friendly [ park ] so we could include Michelle & Brandon's little fur baby in a few shots, too.
Donut is such a cutie!! :) And this field of purple flowers could not have been more perfect.
Loved the morning light streaming into [ Lowe's Park Pavillion ].
And no trip to the museum would be complete without a few shots at the Gyre, of course.
We were most excited about getting the chance to shoot around the museum's new [ expansion ]. The building is covered entirely in aluminum & glass, which reflected the light beautifully, & all the great geometry & lines of the building added a really interesting graphic element to the photos. I'm pretty sure this has to be one of our new favorite locations to shoot!
Love this giant tree sculpture!
We just had to stop by Rodin Garden so we could incorporate this great bamboo into some shots.
Michelle & Brandon were so much fun to work with - as you can tell from these next few images. :)
And again, gotta love these aluminum walls!
It doesn't hurt that these two are easy on the eyes, either... ;)
We were happy to find that the guards were super nice about allowing photography inside of the museum, so for our last stop we headed inside for some photos around the lobby. The museum was really beautiful with all the light filtering in from the windows & skylights, bouncing off all the white walls. Loved it!
Thanks again for such a great time, Michelle & Brandon! We can't wait till the wedding!! :)
