Before I go any further, I need to give some props to the wonderful team of people that came together to make this day happen. First & foremost, Jennifer Wouters of [ Soiree Charlotte ] did an amazingly fantastic job coordinating this day! I can't even put into words how great this woman is to work with - from both a bride's & photographer's perspective. If anybody out there is having a wedding in the Charlotte area, we would definitely recommend looking her up!
Second, we couldn't have done it without help from the lovely Lucy of [ Lucy Clement Photography ] who was second shooter for the day. We are so lucky to have such a great network of local photographers to call up on those rare times when you need backup (a.k.a. when one of you comes down with a terrible, awful case of that dreadful flu that was going around this winter)!

Laura & Chad got married at a cute little church in downtown Charlotte called [ St. Mary's Chapel ].

The reception was at [ Roof With a View ] downtown, so we took advantage of the view from the rooftop for a few shots & then headed to the street for the rest of the photos of the newlyweds. Considering these shots were taken in the middle of the night in the dead of winter, it was a bit chilly, but Laura & Chad were great sports about taking their photographs in the cold, misty weather!
The first dance:
Laura & Chad's gorgeous cake was by [ Cake Lady Jill ] & was oh-so-yummy & rich with its amazing raspberry filling - the perfect touch!

I wish every couple could get married on New Year's - there is so much excitement & celebration in the air. Everyone had such a great time & it was so much fun to shoot!
And last but not least, that brings us to our costume photobooth, which was perfectly suited for a New Year's Eve wedding. The guests all had a blast getting dressed up in the costumes & party hats & even brought some of the costume action to the dance floor. In a perfect world, all of our couples would hire us to do a photobooth at their receptions - they are so much fun! :)
