We also caved & finally joined Facebook along with the rest of the human population, so hop on over to our [ Facebook ] page and become our fan or add us on [ MySpace ] for updates about us, our work, & special promotions!

amy + joe // wedding . asheboro nc
Finally blogging our last wedding of 2008 - Amy & Joe's wintry wedding from December. Feels good to be caught up! :)
Amy got her hair & makeup done at [ Tranzformations ] in Asheboro.
The wedding was at [ First United Methodist Church ] downtown. Love the look of this old building.
Amy & Joe chose to see each other before the ceremony which is always such a great idea. It leaves a much more comfortable window of time to take photos of the couple & allows them to head straight to the reception after the ceremony with all of their guests. I can't stress enough how much easier this can make things for the bride & groom on theirbusy big day!
The reception was at [ Magnolia on Worth ] & the holiday decorations were super adorable. Amy's mom & a bunch of her friends put a lot of hard work into all of the food & refreshments. The ladies did a great job putting everything together!

jennifer + thomas // wedding . new hill nc
One of our last weddings of 2008 was Jennifer & Thomas' wedding at the adorable [ Shady Wagon Farm ] in New Hill.
We very conveniently came across an old Monopoly board for the ring shots. :)
The lovely bride anxiously awaiting the walk down the aisle...
Fabulous late afternoon light - love it!
[ Victorian Seasons ] did a beautiful job on the bouquets & floral arrangements - loved Jennifer & Thomas' fall colors!
The reception was held on the other side of the pond at the barn. And what could be more appropriate for a farm wedding than a delicious country-fabulous dinner, served by [ 9Lyvz Catering ]?
The owner of Shady Wagon Farm also runs a wedding cake business called [ Baking Dreams & Memories ]. Cindy did a beautiful job on Jennifer & Thomas' cake!
Jennifer's family definitely knows how to get down on the dance floor - from her grandpa down to her little brother, everyone danced the night away.
Another thank you to [ Joel Hodges ] for his (once again) wonderful work as third shooter!

kristen + aaron // wedding . monroe nc
I'm excited to finally share these photos with Kristen & Aaron. They are such a sweet, beautiful couple & we were so happy to have the chance to capture their day. :)
LOVE when we are able to get so close during the ceremony. When our clients let us do this, I believe it allows us to truly capture the intimacy of this important moment.
Kristen & Aaron were great in front of the camera - a beautiful couple & you can tell they are so comfortable with each other. A photographer can't ask for more. :)
We headed to the courthouse in downtown Monroe for the group shots & photos of the bride & groom. Love the architecture!
This next photo is one of my new favorites. There is just something about the funny crop & off-centered-ness that I love. Reminds me of something out of the '50s - like my grandmother's old wedding photos. :)
The ring shots were done on one of their super cute dessert napkins from the reception. Love it!
For the reception, everyone headed down the road to the [ Monroe Country Club ] to enjoy some dancing & dinner by [ Stone Table Catering ].
And they're off!
