We photographed Mike & Sharon's wedding at [ Hilton University Place ] in Charlotte recently & have our past clients [ Duane & Michele ] to thank for hooking us up with this sweet couple (thanks again, Duane!).

While Nicole Bartlett of [ Just Jane & Co. ] finished up on the girls' hair & makeup, we had a little fun lighting some detail shots in the hallway. :)




Mike & Sharon got married outside on the dock with a great view of the lake as a backdrop.










Mike & Sharon enlisted the help of [ Nona's Sweets ], [ Hillside Florist ], [ Elegant Ensembles ], & [ Hilton's in-house catering ] to put together all of the details of their big day.






This has to be one of my new favorite garter series. :)


And the newlyweds are off to their honeymoon in Key West!

lauren + chandler // engagement . durham nc

We had a great time getting to know Lauren & Chandler during their engagement session & can't wait till these cuties tie the knot next month!

We started our shoot at [ Duke Gardens ] in Durham. I know, I know... we just posted images from the bamboo there in the last post too, but we just couldn't resist! You can't go to Duke Gardens & not shoot in the bamboo - come on. ;)











Our last stop was the [ American Tobacco Campus ] in downtown Durham. Such a cool place! I'm a total sucker for renovated old factories with their great brickwork, awesome metal beams, & wood slats & columns everywhere. Love it!

laura + matt // wedding . durham nc

We were so excited to finally shoot Laura & Matt's wedding this summer. Ever since the first time we met, I knew they were going to be an amazing couple to work with. Laura & Matt just radiate sweetness & happiness, & we feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this special day in the lives of two wonderful people.







On top of being amazingly sweet, Laura is drop dead gorgeous! Why can't we all be this photogenic?! Loved her beautiful dress too.


The amazing flowers are by [ University Florist ] in Chapel Hill.

Laura & Matt got married at the Pergola at [ Sarah P Duke Gardens ] in Durham.




The new Mr. & Mrs. Russell!





The reception was at this great little Italian restaurant in downtown Durham, [ Tosca Ristorante Italiano ]. Loved the whole rustic look of the venue, & you can't get better than in-house Italian catering - yummy!
