So we have been MAJORLY slacking on keeping up with our blog posts lately - I hardly know where to begin! I figure there is no better place to start than with one of our absolute favorite weddings from last year that we never got around to blogging: Caylin & D.H.'s wedding at [ Mast Farm Inn ]!
Love this couple. Love this location. Love even more that the whole day was jam-packed full of love!
See what I mean? :)
The bridesmaids all looked so fabulous! Love their coordinating but totally unique outfits.
Not only did we have a drop-dead gorgeous bride to work with, the weather couldn't have been more beautiful!
The guys looked equally as fab & all-too-appropriate in their mountain-y (& very plaid!) attire.
A close friend of Caylin & D.H. officiated the day - I have to say this is the first time I've witnessed the officiant offering the groom some smokes. :)
Love these shots of D.H. & his proud papa. :)
All the guys received knives as gifts, but somehow someone wound up with a chainsaw...
[ Mast Farm Inn ] was a beautiful place for a wedding. I tried my hardest to cut down on the detail shots for this post, but this place was just way too full of awesomeness not to share!
Gorgeous flowers by [ Pearl's Garden ].
Loved that they had these great rocking chairs set up by the pond for the ceremony.
These shots of Caylin's parents giving her away are just too sweet.
I know I already said this, but can't you just feel the love & happiness oozing from this wedding? Amazing.
We took advantage of this great dock on the pond for some shots of the newlyweds in the perfect late-afternoon sunlight.
[ Mast Farm Inn ] was full of all sorts of really cool buildings that made great backdrops for photographs.
Loved all of the signs that Caylin's mom made for the big day. Such a cute personal touch!
It really doesn't get more perfect than a mountain wedding right at the peak of the fall season. The colors of the changing trees are so beautiful in NC that time of year.
Again, had the hardest time trying to cut down the detail shots of the cocktail hour & reception set-up. Caylin, D.H., & their families put so much thought & care into all of the details of the day that I just had to share: home-brewed beer as takeaway gifts for the guests, Caylin's grandfather's favorite bourbon, D.H.'s family's favorite petit fores from a bakery in DE, & cake stands & flower boxes made by Caylin's dad from reclaimed barn wood. They topped it all off with a feast of local veggies, a whole roast pig, a wedding cake made by a close friend, & pies from [ Stick Boy Bread Company ].
The couple's friend, Josh, played guitar during the ceremony & first dances - thought it was such a nice touch.
Caylin & D.H.'s families have so much love for one another - it was a treat to watch sweet moments like these unfolding throughout the day.
Again, more details... I couldn't stop myself!
Caylin & D.H.'s dads planned a special surprise for the reception. They thought so much of the wedding day was full of girliness, that it needed a bit of a manly touch. Air guitar fit the bill perfectly. :)
Caylin & D.H. - thank you for a wonderful day!
