elizabeth + brian // wedding . outer banks nc

We had such a blast at Elizabeth & Brian's wedding in the Outer Banks this fall.

Elizabeth owns a wedding & portrait business called [ Blue Peacock Photography ]. Needless to say, we always consider it quite an honor to be trusted by a fellow wedding photographer to capture their big day!

Elizabeth & Brian's wedding had a fun Art Deco theme, & the girls over at [ Style Di'Vita Hair Studio ] did a fabulous job in keeping Elizabeth's hair & makeup true to the era.

After the ceremony we headed over to the [ White Doe Inn ] for some portraits of the bride & groom.

Elizabeth looked so 20's glam in her Art Deco earrings & finger waves!

Brooke & Dorothy at [ Bells and Whistles ] did a great job on the flowers. Every bridesmaid had her own unique, but coordinating bouquet - what a great idea!

The reception was held at [ 108 Budleigh ] in Manteo - a great venue with two floors & an outdoor space that could accommodate even a very large reception.

The place was all decked out with decor by [ Bells and Whistles ], food by [ Seaside Gourmet ] & a cake by Vilai Hammock from [ the Sanderling Resort ]. I thought the vintage cake topper was a perfect touch to finish it all off. :)

Elizabeth & Brian had one of the most lively receptions I've ever been to. The Greek just have more fun! :)

"OPA!"

I am in love with this next image. Is it just me or does it look straight out of a black & white film??

Special thanks to our good friend [ Joel Hodges ] for coming along as our third shooter for the day! :)

happy 2009!

As I'm sure you've noticed, we have had a major lack of posting on the blog lately. We've had a lot going on behind the scenes here since we finished up our marathon of fall/winter weddings this December - holiday print orders, albums, tons of editing, a million online proofing sites - the list goes on & on.

Now that the holidays are over & we are done with weddings until the spring, we are working on getting back into the normal swing of things & will finally be able to get back to our regularly scheduled blogging!

Be on the lookout for more posts soon, as well as some new & exciting changes for inContrast in 2009!
