everett + gayla // reception . burlington nc

We were excited to kick our wedding season off with Everett & Gayla's wedding reception in Burlington recently. (On a side note, Everett is a Lance Corporal in the Marines & will be on his way to Iraq in a couple days. We wish you all the best of luck, Everett! Thank you for what you do for us & our country.)

We went to one of Gayla's favorite places, the Captain White House in Graham, for our bride & groom shots. It is an adorable post-Civil-War period house now transformed into the [ Alamance County Arts Council ]. We couldn't have had better timing, as we finished up our last shots in the town square right before it started pouring rain.










We headed back to the reception to finish up the evening with lots of fun, dancing, & a gorgeous cake from [ Delicious ] in Greensboro.

Back in the fall, I had the opportunity to second shoot again with the lovely Melanie of [ Whitebox Weddings ]. I was thrilled to be able to shoot Ryan & Annie's gorgeous wedding at [ St. Patrick's Cathedal ] in Charlotte, followed by their rockin' reception at a nearby country club - even the priest was getting down on the dance floor.
